HISTORY OF THE INSTITUTE

The Maria Montessori Training Institute (Institut de Formation Maria Montessori) IFMM was formally created in 2003 by Elisabeth Coquoz, who was its directress until 2015.

Elisabeth continues to participate to the life of the Institute as consultant. She teaches the Assistant Certificate course for the Children’s House in French.

HISTORY OF THE TRAININGS RUN BY THE IFMM

1998 – 2010 : organisation of 7 national training courses Montessori 3-6 years old in Geneva, «AM(S) in association with AMI» course

2010-2011: first bilingual Montessori AMI Diploma Course 3-6 years old in Geneva

2012: first AMI Montessori Assistant Certificate course for the Children’s House

2013-2015 : AMI Montessori Assistant Certificate courses for the Children’s House

2015 : new leadership at the IFMM

2015: organisation of the second bilingual AMI Diploma Course Children’s House 3-6 years old in Geneva

2017: organization of the first 3-6 Assistant Course in English and the third bilingual AMI Diploma Course Children’s House 3-6 years old

2018: first Montessori for Ageing and Dementia Workshop, first 0-3 Assistant Course
